There is some controversy on how accurate IQ test are. In my opinion I don't think an IQ test is an accurate measurement of someone's intelligence.

Nah they just set high standards, they're not stupid.
The reason they do so is because they know I'm smart, but they also know I'm lazy. They try to get me to do work :/
Rule #1; Claiming intelligence is not a very smart move.
Rule #2; Neither do grades nor do IQ tests measure one's intellect.
Intelligence is measured in many ways, to the point where it makes our life journey itself (not limited to exams/IQ) the main test (aka success).
I know of people who would get straight A's, but absolute monkeys in real life. So really, no one has a definite answer as to what intelligence is, or how to measure it since it changes with one's perspective, but with that being said; understanding your surroundings, having a stable mentality, and the ability to properly communicate with others, are all signs of intelligence.
Being smart alone isn't enough, you need motivation and the will to achieve, so when you say "I'm smart but lazy", that by itself is ignorance.

You can be smart for the system and can be stupid for the system this says nothing about you or about the way you think. Thats why school is a stupid way of learning children the exact opposite of real life and especially the smart kids who have to study till their 24 not make a sociap life, have stress and everything. It makes no sence. Life should become easier when you are smart but the system is making ot harder.
This is my perspective and I live in The netherlands so we have a different schooling system.
Also my parents say I have to do the best I can but not everything has to be great. Because you get the same paper if you finish with a six or a nine.
