Leanne is right and the staff can't keep control if there 3 langueges allowed in chat and it's not needed. Dutch people know this server is english and if you wanne play you need to talk english.

Also not all dutch people talk french. I hate french... and german xd.

But soo not needed and staff aint gonna add it so yeah.

We have had this suggestion multiple times before and I don't think it's going to happen as it's not fair for people to be allowed to swear in other languages but not English

Somewhere in the world :O
But wouldn't it be confusing if there are conversations going on in global in three different languages? And like Leanne said, people could be being offensive to people or staff and the staff (most of which I assume are mostly fluent in English and maybe only a bit of another language) wouldn't know whats going on. And when people went to report other people for being mean in other languages, staff would have to take a lot of time to translate it, and even then it would be a rough translation which might still not direct the same meaning.
What if there would be a new rank called Dutch translator or French translator? The people that get that rank should translate stuff for staff if they say bad things in global

I feel like every server has their own language. Ours is English. I feel like If there were other languages. It could cause high confusion and spam that would confuse most of the players who speak English. That might annoy them because they don’t understand what others could be saying about them which can cause them to leave. Imagine someone mentioning you in chat and saying something you’ve never heard of about you. Scary, right? I feel like this would be inconvenient for players and staff having to moderate chat in several languages.

Where would they find responsible people like that that thoroughly know the language? English would prob. be their second language, and that would make it harder for staff to talk to them. And also, would you really like to go on here and just sit and watch the chat and translate things after a long day at school?

Im dutch lol and to get translator they should apply, they shouldn't be able to get it instantly by doing nothing. They would have to put in effort

But who would want to do that? It’s not just like staff who casually stay at chat, the people would have to constantly watch chat and translate things they didn’t know, so they wouldn’t be able to do much gameplay wise. And also, opening up other languages would limit people talking to each other and stuff- since if I was talking about selling my house and a Dutch guy came in and started talking in Dutch I would have no idea what he was saying. So, other languages would just add confusion.

then just add a multilingual chat that all player consent to, just make it nsfw classified and make sure that players agree that they can be exposed to that content if you can't appoint chat mods....
Ye no, that wouldn’t be a good idea... but it’d be easier to filter swear words or any words that’s filtered in normal chat.
Either way, swear words in different languages in global chat isn’t censored rn so...

If there is confusion on a global multilingual chat, add in toggle for normal global and for that. It’d be easier so commands and whatever are visible, just so toggling on and off in setting is farrrrr easier. But idk help

Not happening, staff are not expected to know dutch and french, and if people speak these languages in global they could be saying all sorts of unkind, offensive or rude things. Staff need to help others, and we cannot help those who speak different languages other then English.
Get a new staff member who speaks Dutch then.

Or just talk english.. wich is an easier solution....

Also will it be confusing and that stafc member can't always be on and to approve 6 new staff members for 1 extera languege is a bit too much right?

It's called a chat-mod, they aren't hard to appoint.....

I mean I'm fine with this, just what about the people who speak another language like spanish? I mean like apparently minetopia, is a mccity but for another language? If this was accepted ( french and dutch) , it would be pretty hard for staff to keep up, they cant translate everything they have a life...I understand how its slighty unfair but everyone speaks english that i heard of on mccities so i dont quite see the problem. Have another chat for multi-language isnt a bad idea but it would be a big... mess.

And theres the problem with how I can speak Spanish- but badly- so lets say I'm trying to say something and its accidentally a cuss word? (i.e. female dog and other word, which foreigners may not know is bad). Where is the proof that should be punished, and what happens to me when I get warned and lose rep for doing something I didn't know was bad? Offending people in general may be hard to avoid, and this may cause conflict and a lot of unnecessary court cases.
