If you wish to purchase a property I'd suggest organizing a time in game to sell & purchase the property (while your both online). The property was listed on the open market and therefore TheBoss2011 had every right to purchase it. Bad Luck, I'd suggest talking to TheBoss2011 if you still wish...

I've had a look, and can't quite figure out how there broken. They seemed to be working perfectly fine when I used them, let me know what problems you were having though so I can double check :)
