McCities Official Government
As a City Roleplay server, we believe that the players deserve some say in what happens on the server. This is why we are introducing the McCIties Official Server Government. Players will be allowed to run for office, vote, and present ideas.
Structure: The government will be organized with a legislative, executive, and small judicial branch. The legislative branch will made up of two senators and two representatives. They will vote on new laws. The legislative branch will have a “speaker” who will be a staff member and lead the branch. The executive branch will be the President and Vice President. They, along with ministers, will enforce the laws and executive projects. The judiciary will be the police team, and they will enforce laws as usual.
Elections: Elections will be held every three months.
Bills: Bills can be passed if 3/4 of congress approves the bill. However, if the bill is tied at 2/4, the Vice President will cast the tie breaking vote. For example, if the government passes a bill to add the one cop one player rule back to the police guide, it must be passed by the government, and reviewed by the appropriate staff/police members.
President: The president may sign the bills into law, or veto them. Congress can override the veto with a 3/4 vote and the vice President approval.
Parties: To run for office, you must join a party listed below.
1. The government party. You must be a police officer, teacher, or architect.
2. Criminal party. You are a criminal wanting to represent crime in laws and government.
3. Independent party. You are any other player
First Election
If you'd like to run for office, please comment below your username, which party you are with, and what position you'd like to run for. If one position gets too many players applying, staff will randomly add you to a role. Elections will be held sometime this week.
Reminders: 1) This is not a server rank. You will be recognized though. 2) All server rules and laws apply to members of the government. 3) Staff and management hold final discretion on decisions made. 4) If you are banned for any reason or do not follow server rules, you will be removed.
