@Turkey it's global warming. Climate change is a change in regional climate patterns, global warming is an increase in the median temperature of the globe.

but the earth isn’t just warming up. some places will actually get colder, like london

Well, London is gonna be cold and rainy forever, so cheers to them.
And it's not the local temperature that matters. It's the average GLOBAL temperature that's rising.

honey, global warming (like you said) refers to the heating temperatures worldwide, so yes, that’s correct, but it’s also not specific, whereas climate change (climate means weather over a long period of time that normally stays the same) refers to changing in animal patterns, shifts in when plants start blooming, global ice loss, sea level rise, and massive abnormal weather events

so yes, global warming is a “correct term” but it’s also simple and nowhere near as in-depth. it talks about one thing, as opposed to covering it all
