New PC build !

[Turkey]

So currently I play minecraft on an older MacBook Air - which is absolute garbage. A 1.3 ghz processor and 4gb of ram, so I finally decided to upgrade. After some months of research and etc, I have put together some parts for a $500 which will be built around a week from now. I will post a more detailed log after it's created, but it will basically have a pentium g4560 (with 4 logical cores) and a gtx 1060 3gb.

I would say I could comfortably build this, but I was maybe wondering if any of you guys knew some more advanced tips. (by that, I mean not basics like 'grounding yourself'). Thanks in advance for help

Purple, tbh, if you can, return the parts. It isn't exactly economical- you can get a better laptop for around the same price, also newer. But if you want MacBook then i guess its your choice.

I don't just play minecraft XD and the parts I have chosen are generally good. A laptop with the same parts/performance can cost up to twice as much. As for the MacBook Air, I have used it for productivity/school for over 5 years so it's not like I just got that for gaming xD. Being honest, the specs in most apple computers are pretty bad.

I also am building a desktop. It costs around 1,000 dollars for the parts, and nearly doubles if you buy it in stores. The only tip I can say (note im not very good at computer hardware) is to ground yourself. Obviously joking, but in all seriousness I recommend being extremely careful installing the parts, and be in a safe indoor environment. I knew someone who bent the gold contacts on his graphics card. Completely trashed it.

My friends uncle runs a large computer store ( even supplies computers to the British Royal Family ) One guy came in, an IT specialist and bought an £4000 graphics card and aX processor ( these aren't even availible to most people ) and broke it when he was installing it. He came back 5 times after his team ruined the chip over and over again. The guy was found out an got fired for spending 20k of the companies money..

I actually finished the builds and its pretty good . On super flat it gets 1.7k fps, and on the server averages around 600 with max settings (16 chunk rendering distance). Thermals are not bad as well considering I used stock fans.

Also scored 8872 on firestrike. (This build is also capable of running VR). I will be planning to overclock once I get a better power supply.

To be completely honest, a MacBook Pro for light gaming is not that bad. With some mods and some settings turned on to optimize fps, you would be extremely shocked with what you can do. With your current MacBook Air, consider getting optifine and the better fps mod, as those help players improve their frames.

Yea that's what I do, and I average around 70 fps on the server. It's not bad, but gaming has been unbearable due to 1/3 of the screen (right in the center) glitching out and displayed weird/wrong colors (due to a faulty ribbon cable).

Also MacBook pros are not bad for light gaming, but in my opinion most apple products aren't worth the price XD

I've always had apple products, the quality is amazing, but the only thing is that my dads suing apple xD

His computer broke because of a huge faulty fuse and they didn't want to replace it, but my dads a lawyer and they ain't getting past him easily... lol
