Multiple people throughout this post have been saying that "islands that used to sell for 3m are now selling for 7m." To me, the tone of this message was spiteful. Islands have been increasing in "value" because of a few unnamed players. One person was quite upset that island prices have risen so much. So, to some people, islands getting devalued $500k (if that) would be a good thing.

what happened to money is not everything? also it would be good because it would help send the economy back to normal a bit because islands would start to go back to their original value

If you look at the title, this is "stuff for the rich." It won't benefit everyone, obviously. Just a select few. Coban has been saying that he's looking into things for the rich, since mansions/skyscrapers get quite boring (for me, anyways).




And I don't know how many times I have to say it. There will be no plots regioned on the island. There will be a set. Selling. Price. This includes forsale and resell. There will be no profit. Nooooo profit. It doesn't matter how valuable it is, you can only resell it for a certain price. No profit. There would be a set selling price.

I just don't see how this will devalue other islands/"ruin the economy." It makes no sense. These islands will make no profit and will be something for the rich to buy and build their dream estates on. It's only a handful of plots, maybe only 5 people could afford one right now? And a lot of people wouldn't even buy these, as there would be no profit and no regioned plots on the island. It's a feature that only the rich can have access to.

This would be bad because it will devalue current islands .... you really think that every current island owner doesn't want their island to be a private island/empty island (maybe some exceptions). Introducing "private islands" will pretty much stop normal islands as whole, as players will only buy the new ones. I can imagine backfiring in so many ways though. First is the abuse, players are going to not build anything nice and probably just have a ton of random mansions on it, or they may try selling it for higher price than they bought it ....

1) Nobody could even consider buying Captain for $70m, or even $50m. No single person has that kind of money, and I doubt a group of people buying together could scrape up enough money. 2) Please understand: set selling price. They cannot try selling "for a higher price than they bought it" because it would be impossible.

Once again there would be a reselling price, and the fact that captain is even worth what is it rn should have it go for less. These islands are basically a non-profit land for people that want an island to enjoy for themselves and have no more use for their money, i currently am sitting in almost 8 million and i literally have nothing to spend it on that interests me, because no islands are selling.

Like most islands, foxmere has little to no space and is a flat slab of grass blocks. It's nothing like the mountainous, tree-plenty islands that I'm suggesting.

This morning I had someone offer me like 1M for a 20x20 plot because they couldn't find any others anywhere. This is sad. I agree with @sundae22. If you work hard for your money and save and stuff you should be able to have good things.
