I spent a lot of time making a post several months ago that the community generally agrees with, but was not responded to by staff. This is seriously not hard to implement and fixes a lot of issues & is ultimately good for the whole player base...veterans and new players alike.

I submit this suggestion as a petition. Please reply if you agree. These policy changes will accomplish the following:

  1. Amplify the density of the population as this server suffers from severe sprawl which makes it feel inactive and undermines many of the mods.
  2. Make the experience for new users much better. Many new players quit because the gap between making money and getting a home is too high (lots of economy complaints).
  3. FIX THE REGIONS.
I petition the following policy changes are made:

  1. Allow main city apartments to be regioned
    1. Enforce strict regioning and quality requirments.
    2. Charge a fee for region requests (substantial, such as 5k per apartment) to limit the requests & staff effort. This will also serve as an important money sink for the economy.
    3. Apartments not meeting the requirements should be phased out over time by the community and staff in a fair manner as they become incactive
    4. Require apartments to meet certain criteria such as having a lobby, restaurant, pool, and plot size requirement.
  2. Fix regions
    1. Why does nibble own like 200 inactive properties? Why are there plots that have been unregioned completely (z-tower for example)? There are quite a few towers by /warp city with no owners.
  3. Stop the Sprawl!
    1. More plots, cities, and islands won't fix the economy & the playerbase. Using rent as it's meant to be used and bringing the community closer together will fix it. More trade, PVP, roleplay, and economy sinks. Don't make apartment ownership a profitable activity, but a fun one for veteran players to help new players!
I want to see an active city again!

I think that the server should invest in more advertisements, get active on social media platforms, buy ads through McMarket and other places, and allow a stronger private sector to allow players more options to buy city projects

Although some things with I disagree I sign this petition on behalf of Apple, the island of Bob, and myself. I will talk with the Runnerboro government to see how we can help with this in anyway.

Bro. Take it down a notch lol xd. Just say I agree and maaaybe say why or why not. Xd

But I agree ;)

Nibble takes off inactive regions and could resell them again. Idk why he doesn't do that as often. I must agree total redo of apartments is needed. Well formatted suggestion mate!

Also wanted to add how there isn't a high demand for houses anymore. As the middle class players kinda died off....

I agree does nothing. Saying you will make changes on your island, your company, and get other people and an island government to join does that’s why I always sign on behalf of other things that will help. Plus nibble does sell regions I just bought 2 from him the other day from reselling 2 on bob and 1 on Runnerboro. There are like 5 currently on reselling.

I have a few concerns that I might have said on the last post, along with some new ones.

1) I wouldn't call $5,000 per apartment a money sink.

2) Some apartment building plots may not be large enough to accommodate every requirement (pool, restaurant). Just because someone bought a small plot shouldn't mean that their apartments can't be regioned.

3) nibble does not own 200 properties. Sundae has been in the process of selling those plots for a more than a week now.

4) Phasing out terrible apartments will easily take at least a year because many buildings are owned by active players. If every building owner suddenly went inactive, it would still take two months to implement.

5) Regioning the previously-unregioned plots/skyscrapers would only add more land to the area shop. To me, there are way too many properties/plots on the server. There's probably 500-1,000 houses for a playerbase of less than 100 regular players. This leads to my main concern.

6) The big problem I see: even if this idea was implemented, it wouldn't fix player density. Nothing will. The server is simply too big; there might be hundreds of improved of apartments in beautiful buildings, but they'd be spread out among newcity, cayman, and various islands. The city sprawl is already there and nothing can fix that except for reconfiguring the whole city system.

I like the idea of making apartments a higher quality so people will actually want to live there. But short of making everyone live in the same apartment complex, there's no way that 30 people on at once will be anywhere each other. With hundreds of houses and apartments, what are the odds that someone will be nearby?

  1. That is a variable that can easily be changed. So what? It could be made 25k or 2k in an instant.
  2. Yes, it should mean they can't get apartments regioned if their plot is too small. That's how you end up with crappy apartments. They should be end-game activity.
  3. Good
  4. Good. Of course it takes time. That's why it's important to start. There's no instant fix to the existing problem.
  5. I agree. That's the sprawl problem. Regions were removed in dense areas and then more regions were made in sparse areas. Many more than are actually needed (as a poor effort to control plot values when they really just ended up getting horded). That policy needs to be reversed.
  6. Quite a bit of damage has been done, yes. That doesn't mean we can't stop and slowly turn it around over time. The point is to put a stop to the policies that have been creating sprawl and making the server appear dead. I believe over a period of months it would help with density. This server is sold as a city role play server and that is impossible for new users when they never come across others players in normal urban play.

1) If someone buys an apartment plot, they should be able to build on it. It's not their fault that the plot is "too small" to meet the requirements. If they can't use the plot, they wasted their money. Also, leaving those plots empty will look stupid and is against property rules. So what are those plot owners supposed to do?

2) There's no inner-city expansion right now. The only plots being added are on islands. There's no way to reverse city sprawl unless we delete parts of the city, which won't happen. It's just irreversible.

3) There aren't many new users that stay for more than 10 minutes. Most players leave because 1) they don't understand the objective of the server, 2) jobs are monotonous, 3) houses are too expensive, 4) they're troll accounts, and maybe 5) no player-to-player interaction. I think we should fix every other issue before focusing on the least important (in my opinion).

Well apartments are actually a really important factor for new players. Nice apartmentbuildigs with pools etc etc could also provide basic roleplay jobs.

Now by totally redoing the apartment market step by step and stop having middle base players (100k-1m) have the ability to region apartments (aka make apartmentregionig exspencive)

If we start now we can actually make progress soon and do what needs to be done.

Also the small apartments are what we are trying to get rid off. So saying: what about small apartments makes no sence. We need big serverowned apartments on nice locations. Make apartmentbuildings a treat for rich people again and skyscrapers can no longer have the treats of being apartmentbuildings.

How cool would it be to have huge bussy places where new players center interact and trade.

I somewhat agree, therefore i wont be signing it nor going against it. Im all for helping new players and the economy become more balanced, but i dont think adding rules will change any of that. People always find ways around rules, so i quite honestly think they are pointless. I think what the sever needs is motive to do stabilize the economy. People have to want to change. If you just throw some rules into place, people will find their ways around it. Everyone here is kind, i truly belive that. There are probably lots of rich players who are willing to donate, its just hard for them too, i think if we could make it more easy and convenient for players to donate, there would be a lot more, and it would stabilize the economy. It could be something as simple as a donation center, and as long as we can trust that players wont take advantage of it, i think something as simple as that would be able to help new players. We just have to make it convenient for players to help others youll find people excited to donate! There are fabulous companies out there with good giveaways and donations systems, but a lot of players dont know about it. I think that if we made it more publicly known, more players would use it. Overall i think that changing the rules will fix the issue for a month or so, but if your looking to fix this issue in the long run, i think we need to work on inspiring others to help out, and making it more convenient for others to help ^-^ We have so many beautiful players from all over the globe, and forcing things upon them isnt going to help, but if we can inspire them, and show them the better alternative, i think THATS how we fix this issue <3

My suggestion removes restrictions that are already in place, and allows it to flourish with guidelines rather than banning an important aspect of this server outright. My whole argument is that what's in place today is too strict and does more harm than good.

Not to be exactly mean but donating doesn’t exactly solve the problem. I have tried donating it doesn’t work I placed donating at the peak of donating and it doesn’t work. When I did my 40+ plot giveaway, I think I only actually left a impact on the servers reselling market for a week and it decayed like it past away. And I think that even if forcing seems wrong. It may be the only viable solution to solve it. Taking out smaller apartments that are unused is only realistic. Its like saying why continue to run a hotel when no one goes to that hotel.

Not to be mean in any way, I know your a very joyful person and try to find a better alternative. But some things just don’t have alternativies. Sometimes you need to make a step where not everyones demands are satisifed but will bring something good for the majority of the population. The gap of Rich - Poor on this server is very large. And if not all of you agree with me but staff have placed a lot of attention into slowing down the rich from getting richer rather than alleviate or make it better for the newer players. Thus this stretches the gap, Im not sayings its wrong to stop the rich from getting richer but it gets to a point where the main focus is on how to stop things but not how make a better choice for everyone. If anything newer players should feel more welcomed and engrossed to play here. We can keep getting rich but it comes to a point where it eventually ends. Like Jeff Bezos, CEO of Amazon, he is rich but it comes to a certain point where he can’t spend the money. In a similar way the aim of this should be to make apartments better to focus on newer players over to try to encourage the rich or middle class to start a donation drive.

Lol I may have gone off topic.

Anyways the main point is, not everything can be solved in a manner where everyone benefits from it. You need to make some decisions which can eliminate some for the good of others.

^-^ ye you have a good point
