First thanks for reading this post. Second, this post will be the announcement of the first private company in McCities to launch a copyright and patent service.



Details:
Many suggestions have been made for some type of copyright service on Mccities to protect advanced slimefun systems, architecture designs, and books. This new company will thrive to protect your ideas and designs and the company will not be able to copy anything you patent.



Process:

After you have thought of an idea, design, etc you will provide a short paragraph or writing explaining your idea etc with its name, description, the date, and possibly an image. The employees and I will review the information and if accepted we will add it to a log available to the players and codify it for easy access. The price will be around 10-15k. So how would we protect your idea? We will have multiple employees and lawyers dedicated to protecting individual ideas and if it is proven someone is using your ideas we will make a court case to handle the issue or work with the player in a respectful way to solve the issue. If this company fails at any court case or discussion to protect your ideas your money will be returned but your patent will still be protected and our employees would continue to protect it.

Look we had this discussion before to conclude courtcases can be made if someone is copying you.
An idea can't be copyrighted. A style for a house can't be copyrighted (but a copy of a house can).

Now this is also a real life debate that goes on and on. Tbh paying you wouldn't do much as we either make the courtcase ourself with free help from staff or you can't do nothing as all as your copyright service isn't supported by law and neither by logic.


Look I like roleplay. And it would be fun if it was a free or cheap service. But not like this mate.

The reason you are paying is because you are paying for a service. I will consider lowering the price/making it free but this goes beyond just a staff decision in a court case.
