We've all had that one person in the mine who INSISTS on walking halfway across the mine just to stand ontop of you and take your ores only to accuse you of taking theirs,
Or maybe you've had someone who's been camping your house for whatever reason. /ignore doesn't solve these problems.
Those are just two examples of why this would be incredibly useful.
What the idea is: The ability to apply on the forums to have a player prohibited from harassing/coming within a certain distance of you or area you own.
How would it work: The application would be similar to a court case but slightly different, You'd apply with evidence of the harassment
and/or trouble caused by said player and provide reasoning as to why this was a legitimate problem for you having them around you as to prevent abuse.
The report would be hidden from other players to prevent forum drama and witch hunting.
Once staff have reviewed and accepted the order, the offending player would then be notified of the order. Should this be violated, the player who filed the order can message a police officer and/or moderator to ask for assistance removing the rabble-rouser.
How this benefits players:
-Many less people will complain of incidents in the mine where people are having their ores stolen.
-It gives people a more effective solution to /ignore in cases it doesn't fix.
-Adds another form of court action against players thus partially contributing another factor of real life to the server.
-Provides another task to complete as a police officer, and another form of income if you would decide to add fines to these violations.
I honestly think this can work if given enough thought, Please consider this, as me and many others have had experiences where this would be invaluable.
