Some times the generators get weird about sensing blocks above them, my theory being due to a plot transferred plot. If you can, try putting the generators higher up or in a different spot? It worked for me when I had a similar problem.

Can confirm that the error value should be a temporary bug. I had a stock of my own that showed error for a while, I held on to it, logged out and back in and within 5-10min it was back to normal.

Have you talked to @nibble about the issue? It may be related to the recent security update, whatever was done about secure connections or what have you. Maybe insight into exactly what changes went into the server could help in troubleshooting? Just a thought.
