The snow on the floor makes you glitch back a lot, you can't even sprint properly without being stuck. Also even if we do /winter snow, there's still lag caused by the snow forming.

I agree, christmas is over so removing the snow would be nice. (or just make it so there's only 1 layer of snow, not like 1-5.)

u were missing all game while I killed 3 people :P

it is because in 1.12 the protection enchant on armour protects against potion effects unlike 1.8. therefore 1.5 seconds of wither is not enough to damage. however if you try it with spikes 4 it does do damage. hope this helped :)
