Joey and I bid 2.2 million on the island, and am also willing to give some or all of our plots away as well.
I want to make the island to be a semi-private island, so it has a few small plots on it for friends, other staff members, and maybe newer players who cannot afford anything else. Ofc I wouldn't make masses of plots just for money, as that makes the island look bad and would be sold for overpriced prices to older players, who then basically 'scam' the newer players to buying overpriced plots as there are no others on the market.
Me and Joey would co-own the island, and Joey (as being an arch) would be able to make the island look up to city standards, unlike some other islands. There would be no government for the island, as from what I've seen, it causes a lot of unneeded drama among other players on the server.
Both Joey and I have the combined playtime on the server as being over 120 days, which is a phenomenal amount of time, and which simply shows the dedication and hard work we have paid towards the server and its community. Us both being staff members result in the requirement to be online 2+ hours a day, which we both try to do with continued activity levels. We strive to help others in the community, for many months, and I feel this island would be like the golden trophy at the end of a long, sweaty and tiring journey, and this trophy would then push us forward to continue with other 'races' and help other players like we have done.
The main reason we want to own this island is for experience, as neither of us have ever owned an island before, despite wanting one for months. We would be able to make our own mini-city on this island (how cute), and I'm sure that everyone on the server by now knows how much we have been wanting an island and saving for it. However, a few months ago, some 'drama' happened causing me and Joey to give away almost 4 million of our money to friends, and after, when asking for the money back.. we got just over 500k back.. Fun.
Since that time, we have continued to save money and are at about 2.4 million + plots. I don't want to bid all the money I have on the island, because that would mean we have little money and resources to make the island look and be what we want it to become.
I think it would be awesome to have this island for a space to socialise with friends and new players, and therefore strengthen the community as a whole, and I hope you consider our proposal <3
