As I'm 1000% sure al of you know by know owing to the hundreds of messages I've sent I've been on this server since July 2017, and I absolutely love it. I've met a ton of good players, a lot of which have helped me out and I can't thank them enough for that as it's enabled me to get to where I am on the server.

I've always wanted to experience being a staff member as I feel like that would help me reach new levels on the server and do things that I couldn't possibly do as a regular joe player, helping people out, commands etc etc. It's been one of my biggest dreams of this server and in fact any server on Minecraft, being in a position of authority. In fact I finished up a conversation with @nibble an unspecified amount of time ago regarding my staff application (no details will be revealed, sorry :p) and it was good, I definitely hope to hear back about it soon. A lot of you also know that, and for those that gave me encouragement I thank you :D

With that being said, there's unfortunately a couple of players that I've spoke to and mentioned me applying for staff to that seem to massively disapprove. Not the fact I'm applying for staff, or in fact anything personally or otherwise against me. No, it's the simple fact that they don't see the point in people applying for staff because they regard the server as practically dead, which just isn't the case in the slightest possibility. They say that I'd have no time to hang out with friends, that everyone around me is allegedly annoying as hell, that every single person would use me for whatever reason, and that it's just generally terrible. Now I'm sorry but I've applied for staff with the view that I'd like to expand my horizons on the server and not just to be favoured better among certain groups of players because what I've done is seen as daring or exciting. They also say that it isn't worth applying for staff in the long run although they didn't exactly give a reason for that, which i frankly find disappointing as I'd love to know why they said that, and in fact why they said all the stuff I mentioned above.

Moreover, another player in the same chat made some pretty deep remarks about Joey and how they were as a person on the server, how he was supposedly a massive d**k to them and the amazing sundae and how he was apparently a bad staff member along with Leanne. Now I know for a fact that Leanne is an absolutely amazing person, in fact she along with sundae and fvhn inspired me to apply for staff many times since I've been on here and I know them to have never been like that.

I'd just like to point out that I don't want any hate to be directed to anyone about what I've said, or in fact any hate directed to anyone, but I've been wanting to say this for a long time and I finally bothered to say it

I hope you get staff! Personally, from what I've heard, I think staff can be exciting and all but sometimes can get hard and stressful (not that I think you don't know this xD). Still, I think you'll do great!

From my past experiences as staff, it is a very hard job at times, you aren’t loved all the time and it can be challenging. But if you’re up for the challenge then I wish you the best of luck and I’m excited to see what your future here looks like! Best of luck Josh c:

I'd imagine a good few players don't find me loving anyway so it wouldn't make a difference to me xD

Like Kiri said in the past staff is not a popular vote if you have the qualities needed for staff you will get the job. I wish you the best of luck.

You would definitely have a better time, but I feel like the server is slowing down a bit. It’s up to a matter of personal preference.

I can see why players would respond that way. Many of the current and past staff members Ive seen them before and after they were staff. They really change you know, one week we were hanging out and having fun the next they would not have time for me anymore. Sometimes its sad and all but its really up to you. Staff does not directly always mean your good or your doing some service and demand respect from people. Remember its voluntary and you should not in any way try to directly or indirectly try to want respect for the things you do as a staff, its voluntary effort if they recognize you out of free will thats ok but dont ask for recognition or payment or anything. I once had the same dream but I felt like I did not want to be a sterotypically called ‘robot’. Not because people would call me so but I cannot accept the fact of making myself one. I found so many friends who I never talk to anymore when they became staff, all our views shifted friends turn against each other. One day they would be supporting me because they knew I had a good intention the next day they’re on the opposite side because they were jealous of me. If you honestly feel like you got what it takes then go for it, its something for you to decide, I wanna prioritize my studies more but being staff for me isn’t that challenging as it seems. The real challenge is if you give in to abuse and desire. That was one of the most discouraging factors I had to experience before deciding that I did not want to be staff. Tell me Im good, tell me its perfect for me, tell me all the mods were rooting for me, I told myself that I had seen it all without being staff. Sometimes I fear for my friends as staff who may or may not have eventually or will eventually experience abuse of power within the team one way or another. You know so many factors come into place, but whatever you do, don’t be afraid to make the uncommon decision, if you feel like if someone is planning or is doing something wrong, call them our don’t let authorithy above you decide how you act.

for gods sake stop stirring the damn pot??? you really think creating drama like this is gonna get u on the staff team??? we gave you some ADVICE about how staff can be a hard job and difficult but you go around putting words in our mouths??
