1. What is your Minecraft username (ign)
irene_kitty
2. What subjects do you want to teach? (list 2 - 3 subjects that aren't taken and relates to Minecraft)
I can teach many subjects: (note that the subjects are in preference order, the first one being my favourite and the last my least liked).
French: I live in Canada (Québec) so my education is bilingual. I excel at the French language, and would enjoy teaching it. Knowing French would allow players to make new friends on bigger servers such as Hypixel. Speaking French would also help kids in their real-life lives, giving them a little head start for future courses.
Math: Math is one of my favourite classes, and it is also very useful in Minecraft. Understanding basic geometry can help students with building structures, and designing. As most of your teachers have once told you, math is something that will always help you out.
Drama: role playing is great. But not everyone has mastered at it. I can teach kids the do’s and the don’ts of RP.
3. What is your rank on the server? (Citizen, Millionaire, Police, etc)
Citizen
4. What would you do if a student wasn’t behaving appropriately in class?
Honestly, it depends on what the student violated. To cite an example, a student is constantly making rude comments towards his/her peers, and after several warnings from her fellow class mates, it is my turn to step in.
I will start by making two calm notices, and if the student continues with his behaviour, I will give a stern warning. If the student continues after the third warning, I will politely ask him/her to see me. I will proceed to talk to the student about his/her behaviour and how it is affecting the class, and then I will kindly ask for the student to return to their seat and to apologize to his/her peers.
If the student continues with his/her behaviour, the student will be asked to leave the classroom, until class is over. The student will have the choice to either sit quietly in the hallway, or see the principal.
If this behaviour continues in other classes, the student will be personally escorted to the principal’s office by me. The principal is then to decide if a meeting should be arranged with the student’s in-game parents and me.
5. Do you have a discord account? (This is now required for teachers to communicate and plan as a team)
Yes, my discord is irene_kitty #8674
6. What timezone are you in?( Important for knowing when to plan school)
I am in Eastern standard time.
7. Why do you want to become a teacher?
Ever since I was a child, I enjoyed helping my fellow classmates with schoolwork and explaining to them just like my teacher would. I was nicknamed the 10 year old mr. Chan (my math teacher), by my friends. I find McCities a great way to practice for my upcoming career, and a great way to bond with minors, without seeing them face to face.
Of course the world does not revolve around me, and I want the next generation to have wonderful, intellectual teachers, that can easily relate to the children’s problems, and open up these youngsters to a whole world of possibilities, starting block by block.
8. Do you agree to be a good role model? As a teacher, you should be responsible, mature, and follow the law.
I have a reputation of 3, for I am not all that wealthy and have never broken the law. I would say that I am an excellent role model, and plan on staying one. I agree that I will show my students what is right and what is wrong, helping them out with their bright and intelligent future.
9) Anything else:
I am a trilingual high school student, knowing how to read, speak and write in three different languages: Russian, English and French. I have exceptionally high grades, mostly in English.
I hope that you accept my application, for I promise you, that if you accept me, you will not regret it.
