We the people of McCities, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, provide for the common defense and much more to establish this Constitution of McCities
Bill of rights
1. Players have the right to freedom of speech, within the limits of the server rules.
2. Congress or the police force shall not make any law or rule that excessively regulates player’s rights to weapon ownership.
3. Police shall not enter into the private property of players without probable cause of a crime.
4. A player has the right to respond to a court case against them, and to be told their bail amount when arrested by police.
Article I: The legislate branch of the McCities government shall be made up of two branches; a senate and house called Congress. There will be two senators and two house members, unless extended by Congress. They will serve 3 month terms. Congress will vote on bills, and it will require 3/4 to pass. If a tie should occur, the Vice President will cast a tie breaking vote. Congress will have a speaker who will always be a government party member.
Article II: The executive branch will be made up a president and vice president. The president can sign or veto legislation presented by Congress. If vetoed, a bill can still become law if 3/4 of congress agrees, and the vice president agrees. If a position opens up in congress before elections (like a player leaving) the Vice President will fill the seat with a player of their choice until the election. The president can call 24 hour purges, where all laws except trespassing and bank robbery are legal. Congress can hold no confidence votes where they can remove the President for two days, and the Vice President will serve during that period. The president and vice president will serve 3 month terms.
Article III: The constitution can be amended with 3/4th vote of Congress, with the president and vice presidents approval.
