As someone whose sole purpose on McCities is to improve Bunny Island, I want to offer some insight/advice to people who have never worked on an island before. When sundae bought Bunny, her goal was to make the best island with plenty of public features and new plots, which is what everyone wants to do with this island. But, making builds for Bunny was actually quite difficult sometimes, which a lot of you may not realize.
Sundae bought the island in July, and 5 months later it seems like we have barely begun. We spent hours planning out the new Bunny, only to change our minds and start again. It seems like it would be easy to plan out a town, but it isn't. We had to fix the roads, plan out where things would go, take measurements, and make decisions on what to include and exclude. Yeah, we've made a ton of public places and houses so far, but we argued a lot. Chances are that nobody buying the island together actually knows each other in real life and can work with each other to make the island happen.
Bunny is becoming somewhere that almost everyone here has described: somewhere that gives back to the community. There are parks, a marina, fitness center, museum, restaurant, two on-going projects, and a bunch of other stuff that have been mentioned. Making a town takes commitment, so make sure that you really want to help, not just own an island for the fun of it.
The thing is, sundae has shown that she is more than qualified to run and improve an island. She can definitely afford to spend whatever it takes on supplies and labor. She is good with time-management and is a great, dedicated builder. She can make this island as private as she wants because she has already done her part for the community. Sundae initially wanted Bunny to be private, but saw the need for a public island and made it happen. Plus, the whole "conflict of interest" thing is just nonsense, she can focus her time on this new island and leave Bunny to me
